Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA)
     Parental involvement and active participation plays a major role in LCMS success. LCMS works to generate involvement,
increase awareness, and constantly contributes support towards the improvement of a learning environment for the students. PTSA raises thousands of dollars and contributes these funds for programs, the Media Center, student recognition, teacher appreciation, multicultural education, celebration of school spirit, as well as other important support. PTSA welcomes the active involvement of school staff, students and parents. You may become a member or make a contribution.

    New Teacher Luncheon, Lunch Fund for students, Welcome Back Breakfast, Relay for Life sponsor, P.E. Uniform Sales, School Murals/Beautification, 6th Grade Welcome Dance, 8th Grade t-shirts, 7th Grade Fun Night, Sports Award trophies, 8th Grade Dance sponsor, Coach's Gifts, Multi Cultural Night sponsor, Sports Awards hospitality, Reading Night sponsor, Teacher and Staff Appreciation, Book Donations to LA Department, Helping Hands fund, Peer Counselor Turkey Gift Cards, Accelerated Reader prizes, Holiday for the Needy program, Media Center donation, FCAT Camp snacks, Author Assemblies, Poetry Jam sponsor, Department donations.....to name a few. May 19th    - at 7:00P.M. The guest speaker is Ms. Anne Dilgen from Monarch High. This meeting is geared towards 8th grade parents and any questions they may have for Ms. Dilgen.

    The School Advisory Council (SAC) is a governing body made up of parents, community members, teachers, staff members, and students. The primary objective of the
  Who are the SAC members?
    The SAC members are elected members and are from different stakeholder groups. The purpose is to practice a participatory management system with the input of all stakeholders. This year there are two ladies serving as SAC chair and co-chair, Ms. Patti Lewin, Behavior Specialist is the chairperson and Mrs. Shilpa Parikh, parent, serves as the co-chair.

School Advisory Council is to help identify school needs and recommend programs of action. SAC sets goals based on the students' achievements and expectations. Through monthly, SAC meetings, the SAC members monitor the implementation of the SIP and discuss other important topics relevant to school budget, boundaries, etc.

What is the School Improvement Plan (SIP)?
   The School Improvement Plan (SIP) is a primary objective for all Broward schools. To facilitate this process, every school has a school Advisory Council which studies the school's track record and comes up with an annual plan to improve education in vital areas such as: student achievement, curriculum, safety and discipline.

School Advisory Forum (SAF):
    The LCMS School Advisory Forum is a group of stakeholders that serve as a link between the school stakeholders and the Area Advisory Council. In the school SAF meeting important discussions take place regarding recommendations, concerns, and interests. Stakeholders are welcomed to join: business partners, community members, school personnel, parents, and students participate actively. This year, LCMS President is Sherry Wilton. Mrs. Wilton works to maintain active involvement and communication between our community and Lyons Creek Middle School.
